Well....apparently we are staying at a "love motel" for the next two weeks, but it seems super nice to me. Everything is super high tech. We couldn't figure out how to turn off the lights the first night. Turns out it was on the tv remote, which was of course in Korean. It contraols all the lights in the room as wellas the tv and the air conditioning.
The school is really nice and completely brand new. Everyone is extremely friendly and really interesting, most having traveled all over. We toured our school today and then went to another branch of our school to observe classes. The classes look fun. They take their shoes off before entering the class room, which doesn't strike me as very sanitary but whatever. Going to the new school meant that we got to experience the subway....holy cow lots and lots of people times ten. But it is EXTREMELY clean and well lit. The streets are crazy busy and filled to the top with thousands and thousands of signs...everywhere you look.
For lunch today we tried our first Korean food....boiling tofu soup. You add raw egg at the table and the soup is so hot that it cooks the egg. It was very good....spicy though. The meal came with 5 community side dishes of kimchi (cabage salad). Interestingly our breakfast also came with salad. Luckily we found a close cheap pizzza and italian food place until we get used to the new food.
Alright that's all I have the engery for :)

Hahaha... what's a "love motel"? Does it have a champagne glass tub a la Las Vegas? Glad you guys made it safely and are settling in with school and food and internet access! WE NEED PICTURES!! :)
Laura
My only question... how did you figure out what button was what for the remote? If it was all in Korean... had to be trial and errors right? and then how big was it if it controlled everything...
and yes: Useless w/o pictures. :) Glad ya guys got there fine though.
